It is that time of year when Chrysanthemums pop in garden centres across southern Ontario. I always give in and buy a couple to replace the ferns in my planters on my front porch. Their colours always help with the transition to fall (not so welcome, even if the colours are pretty). Here is another idea that can be used year round to add annuals to your garden. I might have to try this in my front bed some day to add more colour.
