I found Spring in the Niagara Region

This is a true story. Despite the snow that is still in the weather forecast, my mother’s tulips know that it is time emerge from their winter slumber. Try to focus on the emerging tulips and not the rabbit poop. Although that is some nice free fertilizer happening in her flower bed. photo

In like a lion and out like a lamb

As I stood at the bus stop in minus twenty-two degrees Celsius this morning, I couldn’t help thinking that yes, winter did come roaring in and it sure is taking its time leaving. It doesn’t seem to matter where you are in the world, it seems like everyone has been dealing with some sort of weather extreme. It’s a popular topic, especially on the gardening blogs. While I practice patience, I’m going to finally place my seed order. There just doesn’t seem to be much rush this year.
